Verizon 5G Labs

Rendever was approached by the Emerging Technologies team at Verizon to highlight an impactful use case for their new 5G network technology. Together, we tested simulated network conditions to determine bandwidth requirements in order to offer live streaming in virtual reality. Initial testing has been incredibly promising and Verizon has already published an internal white paper to showcase the results.

Verizon’s 5G networks opens up a world of possibilities that will revolutionize a host of industries, including healthcare and senior care. In partnering with Rendever, Verizon will improve the lives of seniors across the country by eliminating physical barriers. In the future, live streaming in VR will allow older adults to participate in any personal or public events they like from the safety of their residence.
